Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented
Compensation Analyst with experience in the
cruise line, luxury hotel, or travel industries . In this role you will support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs across multiple geographies, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in market benchmarking, salary structures, benefits analysis, and regulatory compliance, while also helping to create a rewarding environment for our global workforce.
Key Responsibilities Compensation Analysis & Strategy:
- Support benchmarking studies for shipboard and shoreside positions using data from relevant market surveys (e.g., Maritime, Spinnaker, HIRG).
- Analyze internal compensation data to ensure pay equity and competitive positioning in the luxury travel and hospitality sectors.
- Provide recommendations for salary adjustments, bonuses, and other compensation-related initiatives based on market data and internal business needs.
Data Management & Reporting: - Maintain compensation and benefits databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for all employees.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on compensation trends, total rewards costs, and benefits utilization to support decision-making.
- Partner with HR and finance teams on budgeting exercises, including headcount forecasting, salary planning, and cost impact assessments.
- Leverage tools such as Workday, ADP, or other HRIS platforms to analyze and report compensation and benefits data.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: - Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with all local labor laws and tax regulations, particularly in international locations (e.g., France, Singapore, Australia).
- Stay updated on changes in employment legislation affecting compensation and benefits, and recommend necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Support audits and ensure documentation and processes are compliant with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant wage and hour laws (e.g., FLSA), advise management on compliance matters, and recommend policy updates as needed.
- Manage Compensation Processes: Administer annual merit and bonus processes, administer long-term incentive programs, and handle various compensation programs (e.g., offers, promotions, terminations).
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits analysis, preferably in the cruise line, luxury hotel, or travel industry .
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, benefits programs, and labor market trends across multiple regions.
- Experience with market data sources such as Mercer, Towers Watson, or HIRG, and benchmarking in hospitality or maritime sectors.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday, ADP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment.
Preferred: - Certification in Compensation (CCP) or Benefits (CBP), is a plus.
