Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

As the Training Manager for Automotive Fluids, your responsibilities would encompass designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs focused on automotive fluids. You will be responsible for developing and managing training programs aimed at educating customers, automotive technicians/mechanics, and industry professionals on various aspects of automotive fluids, including but not limited to antifreeze and coolants, diesel exhaust fluid, and other miscellaneous fluids as deemed necessary. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that professionals in the automotive industry have the knowledge and skills necessary to properly handle, maintain, and service automotive fluids, thereby enhancing vehicle performance, reliability, and safety.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Curriculum Development: Design comprehensive training curricula covering all aspects of automotive fluids, including their properties, functions, specifications, proper handling procedures, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  2. Training Program Implementation: Develop and implement training programs through various delivery methods, such as in-person workshops, online courses, webinars, and instructional videos, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for a diverse audience.
  3. Content Creation: Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, guides, and multimedia resources, to support the training programs and facilitate learning outcomes.
  4. Subject Matter Expertise: Stay updated with the latest developments, technologies, and best practices in automotive fluids and related fields, serving as a subject matter expert and resource person for training participants.
  5. Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for customers, automotive technicians/mechanics, service advisors, and other industry professionals, either independently or in collaboration with internal or external trainers.
  6. Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment methods and tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and evaluate participants' learning outcomes, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product management, marketing , and sales, to align training initiatives with business objectives and market needs.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that training programs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications, such as those set forth by automotive manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and professional associations.
  9. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including automotive manufacturers, suppliers, training organizations, and educational institutions, to leverage resources and expertise for training initiatives.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, education or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in the automotive industry, with a focus on automotive fluids, including practical experience in fluid analysis, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Proven track record in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery, preferably in a technical or vocational education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and technologies, particularly as they relate to fluids and lubricants.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design software, learning management systems (LMS), multimedia authoring tools, and other technology-enabled learning solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management abilities to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
