Job Description
Join our dynamic team at the Bailey Collaborative Solutions supporting the Payload Integration and Operations Center (POIC) at Marshall Space Flight Center. You will support the International Space Station (ISS) by ensuring the seamless integration and stowage of NASA Payload Hardware. As a Stowage Flight Controller, you'll play a crucial role in enabling NASA astronauts to conduct groundbreaking scientific investigations and experiments aboard the ISS.
Responsibilities:
- Craft detailed Stowage Notes outlining all tools, parts, and materials required for ISS science investigations and experiments.
- Manage inventory and stowage of NASA Payload Hardware, coordinating requirements with various stakeholders including Payload Developers, Integration and Operations Specialists, Investigators, and International Partners.
- Review operational products for stowage impacts and inconsistencies, ensuring accurate and efficient stowage planning.
- Analyze vehicle manifests to determine increment planning impacts, ensuring smooth mission execution.
- Provide round-the-clock support to NASA crew by addressing inventory-related queries from the POIC.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Biology or related field
-3-5 years of experience
- Training and certification as a Stowage Flight Controller preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment, including shift work.
