Special Education Teacher
Location : Apex, NC

Position Overview :
Soliant Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated team in Apex, NC. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to create a learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct instruction in small group and one-on-one settings to address academic and behavioral goals.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to support student success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure inclusive practices and accommodations.
• Assess students progress regularly and modify instructional plans as needed.
• Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Strong understanding of IDEA, 504 Plans, and IEP processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with students with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
