Team Introduction
The Trust & Safety (TnS) team drives global impact by safeguarding trust and safety across TikTok's platform and unlocking new possibilities. You'll encounter meaningful challenges and transformative opportunities, engaging with the entire platform to redefine what trust and safety mean. You'll play a pivotal role in turning ideas into action by leveraging systems thinking and design-driven approaches. Make a meaningful impact and drive innovation.
Responsibilities
- Set design direction, lead new projects from scratch, and redesign key product features to create user-friendly experiences that make a global impact.
- Turn complex systems into simple, intuitive solutions while driving innovation in products, partnerships, and strategies for the short and long term.
- Work closely with researchers, designers, and teams across the company to create inclusive, cohesive, and high-quality experiences.
- Guide XFN teams through challenges, tell compelling stories to align stakeholders, and use innovation to empower others and strengthen TikTok's community.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent visual and interaction skills and design craft.
- Proficiency designing across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, Mobile Web).
- 0 to 1 experience or experience redesigning major elements of product, experience or service design.
- Systems thinker with the ability to think beyond pixels.
- Experience simplifying complex information into easily digestible solutions for your audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in product design, with strong visual, interaction, and craft skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, adapt to new challenges, and maintain a bias for action.
- Experience collaborating with research, content disciplines, and global, diverse teams to create impactful products and achieve meaningful results.
- Effective communication skills paired with impactful storytelling expertise and stakeholder coordination skills.
