About the Role

The Senior Creative Director, Gap Inc. Brand Experience is a masterful storyteller who harnesses creativity to shift minds and build emotional connections, cultivating champions who want to work for, shop with, and invest in our house of iconic American brands. This leader will report directly to the SVP, Communications & Engagement and work closely with Gap Inc. executive leadership to elevate the corporate brand expression through creative excellence and events, while empowering their team to do their best work. The ideal candidate brings a combination of creative and operational excellence, with deep
brand and design experience, strategic orientation, and cultural connection to fashion and creative networks.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Serve as an arbiter of exceptional taste while establishing an elevated corporate brand narrative and aesthetic
  • Drive cultural initiatives through innovative brand expression and multimedia storytelling that positions Gap Inc. as an industry leader
  • Develop impactful campaigns spanning physical, multimedia, digital, and immersive experiences informed by audience and competitive insights
  • Lead with influence to drive efficient decision-making and foster cross-functional alignment

Creative Excellence

  • Guide the creative storytelling process by applying narrative principles across all deliverables
  • Lead ideation and clearly communicate campaign concepts through various methods (sketching, storyboarding, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping)
  • Oversee end-to-end creative development ensuring quality and style align with brand guidelines
  • Design versatile solutions while constantly seeking innovative approaches to elevate creativity
  • Manage creative workflow, including processes, tools, and stakeholder engagement

Events & Experience Design

  • Curate unique experiences for internal and external stakeholders that balance Gap Inc.'s brand, values, and objectives
  • Oversee planning and execution of corporate events that deliver seamless guest experiences
  • Develop and manage event partners, budgets and resource allocation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and business alignment

Team & Resource Management

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, collaborative team responsible for creative development and global events
  • Manage and prioritize creative resources (internal and freelance) in partnership with the Creative Producer
  • Oversee video and photo production, supporting ongoing needs and large-scale shoots
  • Partner with Communications teams to integrate creative needs with strategic insights

Asset Development & Delivery

  • Guide development of creative assets across paid and owned platforms (website, intranet, social media)
  • Ensure creation of platform-specific activations including motion, still, and video content
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality content that meets all project requirements
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and achieving objectives
