RESPONSIBILITIES
·Performs month-end close and monthly financial package reporting
·Lead the plants&rsquo day-to-day accounting functions (i.e. cost and inventory)
·Production and distribution of weekly management reports
·Performs regular variance analysis and provides written and verbal explanations to management
·Performs periodic internal audits to ensure the existence and maintenance of an appropriate control environment within the plants
·Provides cost data, as required, to support corporate pricing decisions (supports Pricing Analyst)
·Driving efficiencies by managing the day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close, and regulatory compliance
·Establishes and maintains the company&rsquos accounting policies and procedures, insuring GAAP is followed
·Prepares financial reports and presents findings to management
·Responsible for organizing, supervising and executing the monthly closing process
·Responsible for integrity of financial systems and processes, including account reconciliations
·Financial analysis of operations
·Ensure compliance with the company&rsquos accounting practices
·Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information
·Comparative and variance analysis, including month-to-month, year-to-year, on reports outside of standard financial statements (includes root-cause analysis, for variance)
·Develop plant Annual Operating Plans including detailed Plant Overhead Budgets
·Maintain price framework for all customer pricing
·Establish and monitor trade, freight and other sales related accruals
·Standard Cost Accounting
QUALIFICATIONS
·Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
·CPA, MBA preferred
·5+ years of hands-on Cost Accounting experience
·Overall understanding of Accounting and GAAP with experience in Cost Accounting
·Cost accounting experience which include Overhead accounting, Bill of Materials and Labor
·Prior work experience as an Accounting Manage, Senior Finance Leader or equivalent and working with ERP systems
·Must be self-motivated, action-oriented executor and ethical
·History of achieving goals with clear career progression & relationship continuity
·Strong planning, budgeting, and teaching skills
·Expert level MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
