Senior Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our collaborative team. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing the cost accounting process, analyzing manufacturing costs, and ensuring accurate product costing. We are looking for a self-starter to work independently and collaboratively with other departments as needed. The Senior Cost Accountant will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accountant:

• Perform month-end close activities for cost accounting, including inventory reconciliations and monitoring variances.
• Investigate and resolve financial variances to ensure accurate reporting and drive business results.
• Partner with managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and analyze actuals.
• Prepare monthly financial performance presentations for various departments.
• Establish and maintain standard costs for products and calculate intercompany transfer prices.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial management policies and procedures to improve controls and performance.

Requirements for the Senior Cost Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
