Responsibilities: Work with multi-state companies with state and local income tax compliance Act as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide subject matter industry knowledge and experience Review information presented on state income and franchise tax estimated payments before, during and after preparation Build and manage client relationships, and supervise, mentor, and develop staff Monitor risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets Collaborate with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice Qualifications: Minimum eight years of recent experience with state income tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, or pass-through entities, providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field of study from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, JD/LLM, EA or MTX, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list Experience providing services to public companies and a solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts Ability to foster relationships both internally as well as with clients and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management, and tax compliance skills KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
