Job Title: SEO Analyst

Client Location: Milwaukee, WI; remote

Hours: Full-time

Duration: 3 months with the ability to extend

Job Description:

We are seeking a SEO Specialist to drive continued organic growth through strategic optimization efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of SEO best practices and hands-on experience in planning, executing, and measuring organic growth strategies . This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, engineers, content writers, data analysts, and subject matter experts to maximize organic visibility and identify new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Perform technical SEO audits and implement necessary changes.
• Manage content production , including planning editorial calendars and collaborating with writers to ensure SEO optimization.
• Track, report, and analyze SEO performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with paid marketing and other digital marketing teams to align SEO strategies with broader marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to implement SEO-focused features and optimizations.
• Develop and present SEO strategies to internal stakeholders, advocating for best practices and growth initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices .
• Serve as the key SEO expert and advocate within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in SEO (4+ years for Manager-level roles).
• Strong proficiency in keyword research and organic search competitor analysis .
• Experience using SEO analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SimilarWeb .
• Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft SharePoint, and generative AI tools .
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices, ranking factors, and algorithm updates .
• Strong communication skills , with the ability to articulate SEO strategies and implementation plans across teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent writing and editing skills .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, or SEMrush .
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO implementations.
• Knowledge of PPC marketing and other digital channels .
• Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) .
• Expertise in technical SEO , including site structure, indexing, and performance optimization

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.00-40.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
