Job Description

RCSA Southeast, a new K-8 Public Charter School, is seeking a dedicated Extended Day Care Coordinator and Front Office Staff position full time salary between 9am-6pm or part time 1:30pm-6:00pm. The ideal candidate has experience in a school , childcare , office or similar setting with a passion for working with students, parents and school community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that align with educational standards for extended day care.
• Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students, ensuring they feel safe and encouraged throughout the day.
• Assist students with homework, academic activities, and foster an atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Organize and coordinate after-school programs and enrichment activities based on student interests and needs.
• Oversee and manage staff assignments, ensuring proper coverage for all activities and transitions.
• Provide guidance and supervision to staff, ensuring they are effectively engaging with students and adhering to safety protocols.
• Help facilitate parent payments for the extended day care program, maintaining accurate records of transactions and communicating with parents as needed.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress, behavioral development, and any necessary follow-up.
• Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, and any non-classroom activities to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Address and manage any behavioral concerns or incidents, collaborating with teachers or administrators for resolution.
• Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of student attendance, behavior incidents, and any other relevant reports.
• Maintain professional attire and behavior while reporting incidents or concerns to the principal or designated supervisor.
• Assist with classroom material preparation, activity setup, and cleanup to ensure a well-organized and efficient environment.
• Perform any additional responsibilities or assignments as directed by the principal or designee.

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Prior experience in coordinating and supervising extended day care or after-school programs.
• Experience working with students in an educational or after-school setting.
• Strong background in education, with a focus on student engagement and academic support.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute both educational and recreational activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Familiarity with financial recordkeeping, including processing parent payments and managing related transactions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in addressing behavioral issues and implementing positive behavior strategies.
• Knowledge of child development and the ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Professionalism in interactions with staff, parents, and students, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours/week
