**Pay Range:** $50.00 - $60.00hr

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:**
**THERAPY**
* Plan and provide appropriate individual, group, and classroom-based therapeutic services to students consistent with speech and language goals as written in the Individual Education Plans (IEP).
* Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of treatmentresponse to therapy interventions (RTI) to identify student progress andor determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
**ASSESSMENT**
* Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services by making decisions based on what is best for the student.
* Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
**CONSULTATION**
* Coach and involve caregivers in the evaluation & therapeutic process.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students across educational settings.
* Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
* Participate in in-service education and team conferences.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about the students therapy goals and educational needs.
* Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
**STUDENT & CASE MANAGEMENT**
* Create, maintain and support a learning environment that is academically, emotionally, and physically safe.
* Prepare and submit, as directed, all case documentation, including evaluation data, treatments, clinical and progress notes and required billing information according to company policy.
* Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports.
* Maintain an attendance register in accordance with the Service Page of the IEP and the Individual Service Agreement (ISA) for each student.
* Adapt educational materials and equipment to provide intervention andor meet the individual students needs.
* Collect data on student achievements to document activities, prepare reports andor updating IEP logs.
* Maintain and prepare a variety of manual and electronic materials (e.g., charts, logs, records andor reports) to document activities, provide written reference, convey information, andor comply with mandated requirements.
* Maintain high and low-tech augmentative communication devices and equipment and have familiarity with symbol-based software such as Boardmaker Online.
* Research resources and methods to address students functional goals.
* Other duties as assigned.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Supervise the work of speech-language pathology assistant(s).
**MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:**
* Current, active TX state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or be eligible for licensure.
* DOJFBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
* Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet
* Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manners.
* Reliability, dependability, and flexibility
