Broward Health Corporate Spectrum FTE: 0.010000 Summary: Provides care in accordance with physicians' treatment plans in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients. Assesses patients' condition, develops a nursing plan of care, administers prescribed drugs, provides treatments, observes patients' progress, records pertinent observations, and reports reactions to drugs and treatments. Assists physicians with procedures/examinations and prepares instruments and equipment for physicians' use. Must commit to 8 shifts per monthly schedule. Must be willing to float to all areas of competence at any Broward Health Hospital. Holiday commitment required. The professional registered nurse is accountable to plan, coordinate, provide, intervene, and evaluate the care of assigned patients based upon the treatment plan, nursing standards, nurse practice act and individual patient needs. Each professional registered nurse participates with the inter-disciplinary team to establish an individualized plan of care for each patient. Under direct supervision provides direct and indirect patient care. Education: * Minimum Education and/or: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, or BSN); or if attended an approved nursing school must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years. Experience: Essential: * two years' experience required.
