Kingdom One is partnered with First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood located in Hollywood, CA that is looking to grow their team by adding a full time Preschool Director . 

Vision for the role: 

HPCC (Hollywood Presbyterian Children’s Center ) is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood (“FPCH”). HPCC is open to children of all spiritual backgrounds and provides an appropriate Christian faith-based learning experience for children between two years, six months and five years of age. HPCC’s goal is to provide experiences that stimulate the child’s interest in God’s world – to provide an environment where each child can develop his or her physical, emotional, mental and social capabilities to his or her full potential, with an emphasis on cognitive development and communication skills. Working collaboratively with the Session, Christian Education Committee, Pastor, HPCC parents, Church Staff and the Congregation, the Director leads the HPCC Staff in operating HPCC, fosters HPCC Staff development, and carries out the HPCCs mission. The Director reports to the Director of Christian Education.

We are looking for someone who: 

• Has knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum, interactions and Environments.
• Has strong supervisory, leadership, and communication skills along with a warm and nurturing disposition. 
• Can work positively within a parent-participation school environment and
• promote an atmosphere of community and cooperation among all interested parties.
• Has experience with administering, planning and evaluating activities and lesson plans that promote developmentally-appropriate learning.
• Has good communication skills and can clearly understand direction.
• Meets the State of California licensing requirements, meeting one of the following options: (i) A.A. in early childhood education, 3 units Administration and two years of teaching experience in a child care center, (ii) B.A. in early childhood education, 3 units Administration and one year of teaching experience in a child care center, or (iii) 12 core semester units in early childhood education/development, 3 units Administration and four years of teaching experience in a child care center. 
• Has at least 3 units in a CDEV Supervisor/Admin class and demonstrates a working knowledge of current child care center regulations and policies. 
• Has valid CPR training certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.  
• Prior Preschool Director Experience is preferred but not required. 
• Must be conversant in and practice the Christian faith as well as in agreement with the Essential Tenets of the Reformed Faith adopted by Fellowship of Presbyterians.

Some of what you'll do:

• Plan, organize, direct, manage, and supervise programs for preschool-age children and facilitate positive relations among HPCC Staff, parents, and FPCH. 
• Maintain, develop or modify curriculum to meet the needs of children enrolled in HPCC and remain current with developments in the field. Develop long term plans to facilitate the growth of HPCC.
• In conjunction with Session, and the Christian Education Committee, define policies of admission, attendance, tuition and educational goals and manage all aspects of student admissions. Collaborate with the Christian Education and Personnel Committees to establish all other necessary policies, procedures or rules pertaining to the operation of HPCC (consistent with the FPCH Employee Handbook.)

Pay Information: Salary, $68,600/year

Status: Full Time
