POSTUP MAIL: A New Approach to Shipping, Packing, and Mailbox Services

Join Us in Providing a New Experience for Clients and Members!

We are seeking both full-time and part-time staff for our new mail center in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will have retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Remember, this is a client facing role, so if you are friendly and have a genuine smile, you’re already halfway there!

Mail Center Operator:

As an operator for Postup Mail, you will get to handle the whole gamut of product and service offerings. You are expected to demonstrate:

• Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and respond to telephone inquiries. Maintain a friendly, engaging atmosphere similar to a barber shop or nail salon.
• Communication: Practice good listening skills with customers and team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math, are essential.
• Problem-Solving: Take ownership of customer shipping issues and offer viable solutions. Continuously solve problems that arise in day to day operations.
• Product Knowledge: Learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
• Technical Skills: Operate all equipment, software, and devices expertly. Must be comfortable with computers, copiers, fax machines, and printers. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe is required. Experience with PostalMate or working at UPS, USPS, or FedEx is a huge plus.
• Mail Handling: Distribute and handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes. Handle shipping and packing tasks. Take passport photos and provide notary services.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all transactions. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Small mistakes can lead to large problems, so attention to detail is crucial.
• Physical Activity: Be prepared for standing and walking the store for extended periods, lifting boxes, stocking and inventory, and putting away mail. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs is required.
• Adaptability: Handle a variety of products and services, including greeting cards, gifts, mailbox services, and more. A different job and customer situation will be thrown at you regularly, requiring quick thinking and reaction.
• Multitasking: Manage a fast-paced environment and maintain a steady workflow throughout the entire day.
• Honesty: Admit mistakes instead of covering them up. Trust is a very serious matter as you will be dealing with private mail.

Additional Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Attributes: Prompt, reliable, and responsible. Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Certification: Holding a California Notary license is a definite plus, or willingness to become a Notary Public and LiveScan operator (requires a DOJ background check)
• Software: If you are familiar with Postalmate or have previous experience with postal centers, this is a big plus!
