Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, debug, and maintain code for industrial control systems
  • Lead the end-to-end development of projects throughout the entire lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and operations.
  • Execute projects following an agile methodology and adhere to rigorous standards
  • Develop automation tools to streamline code development and enhance code quality
  • Facilitate testing programs in a controls lab
  • Load, update, and maintain hardware configuration and setup
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Prepare handover packages for the product teams
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Provide DevOps support for continuous maintenance and improvement scope

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Controls/ Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university or minimum with 3yrs of experience or a minimum of 6 years of applicable work experience
  • Self-Driven with the ability to technically influence and support a team
  • Ability to work in a team environment on short- and long-term projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to sell the architecture to key stakeholders
  • Good presentation skills

Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in frontend development for web applications
  • Siemens PLC knowledge
  • - TIA portal (programming, configuring, and troubleshooting)
    - S7-1500 experience
    - Troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in the development / use of:
    • Programming Languages - Javascript, HTML5, CSS, Java, SQL, Python, Powershell
    • Databases - MySQL PostgreSQL, NoSQL
    • Frameworks - Spring, Hibernate, Angular.js, JBoss/Wildfly
    • Cloud Services - AWS/Azure
    • Tools - Maven, Jenkins, Selenium, Grafana, JUnit,
    • Mobile Frameworks - iOS, Android, React Native or similar
  • Experience in HMI/SCADA software design with an emphasis on high performance UI/UX interfaces
  • Advanced skill in the development / use of:
    • WinCC OA
    • TIA Portal
    • Version control systems such as git
    • Task tracking and collaboration systems such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Product knowledge of Oil and Gas Rigs Onshore and Offshore
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with IEC 62443 standards for cybersecurity
  • Ability to recommend improvements / resolutions to improve customer satisfaction and product functionality
