Job Description

All Settings: Rescue cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Preliminary review of diagnostic studies as ordered by physician.

Setting Specific:
Appropriate screening examinations including pelvic and breast examinations. Management of prenatal and postpartum care. Cervical biopsy and polypectomy. Endometrial biopsy. Excision/biopsy of vulvar lesions. Cauterization of the cervix. Incision and drainage of Bartholin duct cysts or marsupialization. Insertion and removal of intrauterine devices. Basic pre-placement evaluations and fitness for duty physical examinations. Toxic exposure evaluations (examples carbon monoxide and lead poisoning testing). ECG interpretation (May be limited to providers by virtue of contract). Spirometry and interpretation of. Local anesthetic techniques.

Peripheral nerve blocks. Cryosurgery for skin lesions. Burns, superficial and partial thickness. Excision of skin and subcutaneous tumors, nodules and lesions. Incision and drainage of abscess or cyst. Performance of skin biopsy for diagnostic purposes.Performance of needle biopsies. Breast cyst aspiration. Placement of anterior and posterior nasal hemostatic packing. Fiberoptic Naso-laryngoscopy. Slit lamp usage. Removal of a non-penetrating foreign body from the eye, nose, ear, vagina. Laceration repair. Joint injection and arthrocentesis. Splinting. Management of uncomplicated, minor, closed fractures and uncomplicated dislocations. Finger nail or toenail removal.

Percutaneous intravenous central venous catheter (PICC) line placement. Abdominal paracentesis. Ventilator management less than 24 hours (Please refer to the special privileges for greater 24 hours' ventilator management). Non-invasive ventilation support, such as BiPAP or CPAP, includes the maintenance monitoring and weaning. Assists with surgery. Management of ICU/CICU patients. Performing eVisits (electronic communication thru a survey or questionnaire) and Video Visits (interactive audio and visual communication utilizing telehealth technology) as deemed clinically appropriate by the provider. Includes diagnosis, recommending a course of treatment, or ordering a prescription (Narcotics prescriptions are limited by policy).
