A National Law Firm is seeking experienced lateral associates with expertise in patent preparation and prosecution to join its Intellectual Property Group. The ideal candidate will have a background in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science and significant experience in patent preparation and prosecution

Job Details

Prepare and prosecute patent applications, and provide patentability and clearance opinions.
Manage patent estates, licensing, and enforcement for a diverse range of clients.
Collaborate closely with skilled patent practitioners in a dynamic, cooperative environment.

Juris Doctor (JD) required.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science preferred.
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the firm operates.
USPTO registration required.
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in a law firm setting.

Ability to independently manage multiple complex legal matters from start to finish.
Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
High ethical standards, with a commitment to producing top-quality legal work and client services.
Proven ability to generate business and actively manage client relationships.
