What will you do in this job?:Bake and create items for dining room, employee dining room, and coffee shop Create pastry/dessert specials for sale in dining room and bar Inventory and communicate with Chef and storekeeper to order all necessary recipe ingredients Create prep lists and item pars for baking and pastry team Create baking and pastry team schedule Teaches and trains to advance skills of baking and pastry team Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of baking and prep areas and equipment used by baking team Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor Assist as needed with set up of rooms for special events, meetings, conferences and banquets Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties This job description describes at a high level what a Pastry Chef does, but no document can anticipate every single task, issue or project that could come up.
