Whatnot is seeking a Legal Operations professional to help optimize their legal processes as they continue to scale. This is an exciting opportunity for a paraprofessional or legal operations professional who is eager to join a fast-growing company and create the Legal Operations function. What You'll Do Overall: Lead change management initiatives related to legal operations, such as process improvements, technology implementations, and organizational restructuring. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within the legal department. Contract management: Take day-to-day lead on contracts management processes, working closely with Whatnot’s commercial teams to ensure an organized contract lifecycle process; assist with the management of procurement processes and vendor review. Legal records: Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge management system to store and organize legal documents, templates, and resources. Tech implementation/automation: Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline legal processes and improve efficiency. Legal budget: Optimize and manage the Legal team’s financial processes, including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, and expense administration. Legal requests: Manage the workflows and external communications for legal requests. Other: Depending on background and interest, you may also assist with corporate paralegal matters and other projects supporting the Legal team. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in legal operations or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced technology company. Adept at automation and AI; extensive experience with Slack, Google Suite, and other software tools. Strong knowledge of legal processes, contracts management, and legal technology solutions. Proven track record of driving process improvements within a legal department. Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Salary and Benefits $165,000/year to $230,000/year + benefits + stock options. The salary range is inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position.
