Position Overview: Reporting directly to the owner, the Lead Designer will be responsible for providing a 5-star client experience for cabinet and countertop design and sales through client consultation, accurate measurement and design, and consistent follow-through. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients in both our showroom and at their homes to understand their design preferences and functional needs, creating exceptional designs that align with their vision. Your creativity, attention to detail, and focus on exceptional customer service will be essential in producing innovative solutions that consistently exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Client Experience & Sales
- Provide expert guidance and education to clients, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable design experience.
- Pursue new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers.
- Follow up on inbound leads within two business days, qualifying potential clients and understanding their needs.
- Present accurate designs and proposals in a timely manner, addressing client concerns and overcoming purchasing objections.
- Conduct in-home consultations to measure spaces, discuss client preferences, and offer professional recommendations. Design & Project Management
- Create innovative and functional kitchen designs using 2020 Design software.
- Work closely with clients to establish an initial budget and ensure design feasibility.
- Maintain precise records of client interactions, including contact information, project details, and design notes within the CRM system.
- Ensure that all designs and proposals are 100% accurate before submission.
- Order cabinets and countertops after invoices are paid and provide all necessary documentation to the operations team. Administrative & Operational Duties
- Accurately represent Cabinet IQ's products and services in all client interactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and industry trends.
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of client projects.
- Help plan, schedule, and manage industry events held in the showroom. Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in design software.
- Experience with 2020 Design software (required).
- Manage and update CRM with contact details and notes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization. Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in kitchen design and sales.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with Design 2020 / Design Flex.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in interior design or related fields is a plus.
