Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Handle current buying accounts and new account calls that are not budgeted, targeted, or key accounts.
- Technical interface with the customers.Aid in product assistance with customer and potential customer applications.Provide notification to customers of specification changes to existing products.
- Enter requests into Request Manager (Regulatory, PDR, surveys, etc.).
- Provide Safety Date Sheets to customers when requested.
- Manage completion of testing on material (this includes new development).
- Obtain quote approval from Sales Manager and prepare formal quotes for customer.
- Travel to tradeshows once or twice per year.
- Modify and/or create forms for use by sales such as quote forms, sample request forms, and other standard company forms.
- Attend weekly meetings with manufacturing and communicate meeting notes with Sales Force.
- Establish yearly budget and forecasts.Prepare monthly sales reports.
- Respond to all customer requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Enter technical requests into "Request Manager" for respective sales group.
- Technical interface between respective sales group and technical group.
- Develop the skills necessary to progress to an outside sales role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Education & Experience: - Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business related field required.
- Will also consider High School Diploma/GED with 4-6 years' experience in a customer service or inside sales related role.
- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a customer relations/problem-solving environment (i.e. customer service, inside sales, retail, etc.) and strong computer experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Work effectively as a leader within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Ability to properly manage resources.
- Ability to take direction and carry out instructions from the manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Capable of a proactive approach in order to identify or eliminate potential problem areas.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Work Environment: - This position operates primarily in a professional office environment.
- The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
