The Information Technology Specialist I is a full stack software developer role requiring a high level of  expertise in analyzing technical requirements to design software architecture and write custom software  code using methodologies such as Microsoft ASP.NET, C#, Structure Query Language (SQL) and  Model-View-Controller framework in addition to other tools as relevant to CHP's Software Development  Group.Together with the project team, the Information Technology Specialist I will interface with business analysts, testers, end users, and management to design, code, test, and deploy systems across a variety of platforms.

Working Conditions

Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 hours. This position may be eligible for telework after the probation period is successfully passed.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to appointment. To satisfy the minimum qualification requirement with education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for initial review. Applicants with foreign transcript(s)/degree(s) must provide a third-party transcript/degree credential evaluation that indicates the number of units to which the foreign coursework is equivalent.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.  Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below.  The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font.

2. Please share the languages, frameworks, libraries, and tools (e.g., code control, testing automation, release tools, project management tools) you have used and describe how comfortable you are with each.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

The Information Technology Specialist I would have a working knowledge of server, networking, and other hosting environments. The ideal candidate would have experience analyzing business requirements, writing unit tests, and coding features tailored for an optimal user experience. Full stack technical skills with ASP.NET , C#, SQL, and Visual Studio expertise is preferred, but syntax can be learned. Computer Science or similar degree is highly desired. If you are a software developer that loves to code, this is the state job for you.
