Job Title: HR Specialist / Onboarding Specialist

Location: Sumner, WA

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour

About the Client: Our client is a pioneering startup food production facility located in Sumner, WA. They are committed to high-quality production and exceptional service. As they build their team, they are seeking a dedicated HR Specialist / Onboarding Specialist to manage the recruitment, screening, and onboarding processes for new employees.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist / Onboarding Specialist to join our client's team. This role is critical in managing the end-to-end hiring process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires into the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:

    • Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements and staffing needs.

    • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies.

    • Post job openings, manage advertisements, and attract top talent.

    • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist candidates.

    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with relevant team members.

  • Screening:

    • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verify employment history.

    • Evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the company culture.

    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of candidate interactions and statuses.

  • Onboarding:

    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.

    • Prepare and distribute new hire documentation, such as contracts and benefits information.

    • Ensure new employees have the resources and information needed for a successful start.

    • Conduct follow-up meetings to address any initial concerns and gather feedback.

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Stay updated on employment laws and best practices.

    • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

    • Support various HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HR, recruitment, or onboarding.

  • Familiarity with HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
