We produce large-scale events for non-profits and corporations featuring national headliners, multiple stages, and dynamic promotional campaigns. We design intimate affairs packed with creative dcor and unique flavors. We coordinate the nuanced details of fundraising campaigns for Southern California's most instrumental non-profit organizations. We champion detailed marketing campaigns strategically designed for impact and results.
The Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of these diverse events throughout the year. This position requires a dynamic and strategic leader with extensive experience in event management, operations, and logistics.

Their dedication to these outcomes is what drives them to succeed. The Director will ensure that all events are executed flawlessly, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Benefits - Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000
- 10% of net new business from a new client brought into McFarlane Promotions,

- Paid Holidays
- New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. If an event falls on these holidays, a mutually agreed upon future date will be substituted.
- 3-week paid vacation and 5 personal/sick days
- Work from the office Monday, Thursday, and Friday - Remote - Tuesday and Wednesday

Responsibilities Leadership and Management :
•Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
•Establish and maintain operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
•Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Event Planning and Execution :
•Oversee the planning and execution of multiple events, ensuring all operational aspects are managed effectively.
•Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to align event logistics with overall event vision and goals.
•Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and contingency plans.
Budget and Financial Management :
•Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
•Monitor and control event expenses, negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
•Provide regular financial reports to the executive team.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management :
•Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, sponsors, clients, and other stakeholders.
•Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
•Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control and Risk Management :
•Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
•Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and success of all events.
•Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Strategic Planning and Innovation :
•Develop and execute long-term strategic plans to enhance the company's event portfolio and operational capabilities.
•Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, incorporating best practices into the company's operations.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and event quality.
Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in event management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
•Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and leading operational teams.
•Strong financial acumen, with experience managing event budgets and financial reporting.
•Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
•Proficiency in event management software and other relevant tools.
