Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Estimator to be based in New York NY.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Confer with a broad range of technical professional and managerial personnel as well as designers consultants and contractors to coordinate and establish a detailed cost estimate.
• Prepare and/or ensure the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.
• Supervise the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents contract drawings specifications or contract changes.
• Review and report on contract estimates prepared by private consultants; recommend if an estimate is appropriate for implementation.
• Participate in cost negotiations.
• Plan assign and review the costestimating work of other AECOM or Consultant estimators.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 

Preferred Requirements:

• Excellence in calculating prime time labor escalation and unstandardized coefficient.
• Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in architecture construction management engineering environmental services or related coursework. 5 years of experience as an estimator.
• Experience in the New York and New Jersey marketplace is preferred.
