Randstad is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator for a local wood treating plant near Milford, VA. In this role, you'll proactively eliminate risks, ensure compliance, and enhance employee training and retention. salary: $45,000 - $52,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Leading training programs
- Lead and assess safety trainings for new hires inclusive of "safety walks", hands-on trainings, daily communications for first 45 days
- Verify all hands-on training has been completed and updated on the OSHA Refresher report
- Track, monitor, and report plant injuries and illnesses
- Assist HR with all safety incident investigations to include root cause analysis
- Regularly inspect equipment, machinery, and supplies to ensure safe working conditions
- Collaborate with Plant Safety Committee and Corporate Leadership on safety and environment improvement processes and requirements
- Complete required environmental inspections, ensuring compliance with all environmental rules and regulations
- Provide feedback and reports to Plant Leadership and Corporate contacts
The essential functions of this role include:
