CPA firm in Downtown Columbia is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team! Great opportunity to join a successful firm and get exposure into all aspects of the business. Training will be provided by highly experienced members of their staff in an environment that is collaborative and supportive.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

• Collaborate with team members to help the flow of tax returns
• Ensure clients are complying with federal, state and local tax regulations
• Keep up to date with tax changes
• Manage bookkeeping for multiple small business clients
• Maintain financial reports and general ledger accounts
• Contribute to the development of annual operating budgets and performance projections
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus and have one year of relevant experience/Accounting internship preferred but new grads are considered
• Previous tax exposure
• Ability to multitask efficiently and ready for personal growth & development
• Excellent attention to detail & strong problem-solving skills
