Looking for an experienced physician leader to oversee several free standing ERs within the LewisGale system.

*Job Detail *
* 85K annual ED volume for the system
* 506 hospital beds
* 64 hours physician coverage for the system
* 70 hours NP/PA coverage for the system
* ABEM/ABEOM required
* BE/BC-must be certified within 7 years of completing residency
* History of taking ATLS required
* Previous medical leadership required

*Information about Free Standing ERs:*
* 11 bed free standing ER
* 24hr physician coverage
* 12hr Physician shifts
* Part of Lewis Gale Health System – direct admits to the floor
* Onsite lab, X-ray, and CT
* ABEM/ABEOM required

LewisGale Medical Center is a 506-bed facility staffed with highly skilled medical professionals. The hospital is part of a system with four hospitals, two Cancer Centers and six Outpatient Centers catering to over 250,000 patients annually. LewisGale Medical Center is an accredited chest pain center approved by the society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and it is a top performer on key quality measures by the Joint Commission.

The city is located approximately 30 miles from Blacksburg and 104 miles from Greensboro, North Carolina.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $450,000.00 - $550,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

Experience:
* recent emergency medicine leadership: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
* DEA (Preferred)
* board certification in emergency medicine (Required)
* VA medical license (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
