The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking an organized individual to fill the Office Administrator II position at Taylorville Correctional Center. This candidate will oversee the mailroom. The individual in this role will process all incoming and outgoing mail for the facility including legal mail. The chosen candidate will respond to individuals in custody and staff regarding mailroom issues and procedures. This position will also be responsible for monitoring postage for all outgoing mail as well as completing logs and reports associated with the mailroom. Qualifying state employees, in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
