Job Description

Great opportunity to join a dynamic CPA firm. The position is primarily business and personal tax preparation, with a few compilations and reviews; and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to our clients. 

The successful candidate will be a CPA and have 5 years of recent tax experience; be detail oriented; flexible to changing priorities based on client needs; ability to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and tax agencies; have a positive attitude and be open and willing to new workflow methodologies to ensure efficient and profitable engagements.

Job responsibilities:

• Accounting and Financial Statement preparation and/or review:
• Account reconciliations, analysis, and adjusting entries
• Transaction entry or review/cleanup of client’s entries
• Preparation of quarterly payroll tax reports, and annual W-2’s and 1099’s
• Preparation of financial statements
• Handle routine client questions

Income Tax preparation:

• Preparation of year-end workpapers to ensure compliance with professional standards
• Preparation of Individual and Business tax returns, UltraTax experience a plus
• Preparation of Tax projections
• Research IRS notices, determine and execute action required to resolve notices
• Establish and maintain good client relationships

QuickBooks consulting:

• Assist/train clients on QB data entry
• Assist with new client set up on QB desktop and online versions

Qualifications:

• 5+ years recent tax and accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong computer skills
• Public accounting firm experience 
• CPA license required 
• Willingness to work some overtime during tax season
