Role Overview:

This position reports directly to the Learning and Development Manager. The Corporate Trainer is responsible for the leadership, development, coordination, reporting, and facilitation of in-person and eLearning. The trainer provides quality assurance for training, including establishing curricula, training delivery, and developing a blended, experiential approach to learning. The trainer analyzes, designs, develops, documents, implements, troubleshoots, and continually evaluates learning plans and applications.

Exemplary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Delivers in-person and eLearning training throughout the organization using Cognition (Goodwill U) LMS software.
  • Keeps current on learning and development trends and adult learning theory and operates training programs at or above established learning metrics.
  • Helps improve operational performance by utilizing our Learning Management System to train, retrain, and hold staff accountable for learning goals.
  • Maintains goals and metrics related to training hours and outcomes to optimize instructional value for staff across the company populations.
  • Conducts learning trend analysis to identify opportunities and communicates with applicable leadership teams strategies to overcome obstacles.
  • Collects, evaluates, and analyzes data relating to training programs and their link to a performance on the job for return on investment.
  • Reports training numbers (online and in-person) monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Performs system tasks, including curriculum building, scheduling sessions, uploading courses, and extracting report data.
  • Using active listening, they will answer and resolve technical issues related to the LMS system as appropriate.
  • Consult with other Goodwill team members about learning issues related to training services and provide the available training/resources within the organization.
  • Assists in developing training manuals, job aids, and online tutorials using Design Thinking methods.
  • Assists in managing the consistency of training material to reflect current policies, procedures, and practices, such as having a Growth Mindset and providing multiple learner pathways to reach the learning objective.
  • Lead Presenter and responsible for New Hire Orientation and processes.
  • Culture Keeper. Demonstrates and leads positive organizational culture development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Corporate Trainer Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Information Technology, Business, Instructional Design, Education, etc.) related discipline preferred
  • Two (2)- five (5) years experience in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge and experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), Online Training, and in-person workshops/skill training. Strong usage of digital tools to ensure a clear understanding of written communication.
  • Ability to use and locate solutions for challenges, such as researching using the internet, leveraging personal expert connections, and thinking outside the box for solutions.
  • Able to pull from a pool of engaging adult learning strategies to create learning experiences aligned with adult learning theory.
  • Must work well with all employees and the public courteously and professionally.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all human resources interactions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people and with Department Directors.
  • Must be able to work well with diversified cultures, a developmentally disabled population, and all persons with barriers to employment.

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, complying with time restrictions and deadlines.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Windows applications (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) and ADP Programs
  • Shall be required to perform administrative and clerical duties quickly and accurately; learn, interpret, and apply organizational policies, procedures, and practices; and take responsibility for the reports.

Licenses:

  • Valid CA Driver’s License; clean, current DMV printout, and have car insurance.
  • Must provide own transportation to use on company business.
