Job Description Summary The Communications Manager is responsible for effectively executing global PR and internal culture communications programs to drive our GE HealthCare strategic vision, organizational culture, product amplification, thought leadership, and issue management. The Communications Specialist reports directly to the Director of Communications, Molecular Imaging & Computed Tomography for GE HealthCare.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities - Develop & execute strategic communications plans for the organization, managing the overall communication process.
- Work closely with business communications directors to support external PR campaigns, internal employee activities, digital/social initiatives, product initiatives, and other related opportunities.
- Partner with GEHC leaders - namely marketing, HR, and IT - as well as Corporate Marketing & Communication's internal communications and external affairs teams, and global colleagues in the development and dissemination of main messages to appropriate audiences based on business objectives.
- Support, collaborate and contribute to cross-business initiatives.
- Create and pitch communications materials, including earned, owned, social and digital media.
- Integrity: Adhering to high ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, or related field.
- 6+ years' experience working in PR and/or Culture Communications - either in a corporate or agency environment.
- Ability to understand GE HealthCare's goals and proactively identify opportunities to meet them.
- Clear thinking, creative communication and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success leading multiple projects/initiatives within communications / PR function.
- Able to quickly grasp new ideas;
- Able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability;
- Able to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information;
- Experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions;
- Able to communicate priorities clearly and concisely.
- Potentially to travel up to 10% of the time to collaborate with major stakeholders
Desired Qualifications - Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated success supporting and managing communications for senior-level business clients.
- Adaptability: being open to change in response to new information, feedback, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations; able to deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations, including continuing to persevere and remaining calm in challenging or frustrating circumstances.
- Dependability: high say/do ratio.
- Flexibility: ability to work on numerous projects.
- Bias toward action, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- External focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global environment.
