Job Summary:

A Commercial Property Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of commercial properties during business hours. The role involves ensuring that common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces are clean, well-maintained, and presentable at all times. The Day Porter will also assist in minor maintenance tasks and report any larger issues to the property management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators are clean and presentable.
• Clean and restock restrooms throughout the day.
• Empty trash bins and recycling containers, replacing liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, and clean glass surfaces.
• Wipe down furniture, countertops, and other high-traffic surfaces.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or unclogging drains.
• Respond to tenant and management requests for immediate cleaning or maintenance needs.
• Monitor and report any building issues such as leaks, damages, or safety hazards to the property management team.
• Ensure exterior areas, including entryways and walkways, are free from litter and debris.
• Assist with snow removal or salting sidewalks during winter months.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing.
• Provide a courteous and professional presence to tenants, visitors, and property staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facility maintenance is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills to interact with tenants, visitors, and management.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, or occasional weekends.

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor work environments, including exposure to various weather conditions.
• Physical work requiring bending, lifting, walking, and standing. Company Description
