Job Description
Air General, a national cargo handling company, is looking for a Cargo Agent at our Salt Lake City Ocean Warehouse location (SOC) to handle the transfer of cargo to and from our clients and their customers. This position would include office duties as well as warehouse duties, with a focus on customer service and strict adherence to safety and security procedures.

- Utilize warehouse inventory log to ascertain correct freight to be loaded from shelves or other warehouse locations
- Identify freight for loading or unloading
- Utilize material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to load/unload freight
- Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.
- Process customer paperwork and shipping information
- Load/unload cargo from/to vehicles/trucks
- Prepare, palletize, and/or breakdown cargo as needed
- Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is accurate
- Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo
- Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose garbage
- Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
Requirements: - Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and government security background checks
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge
- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 70lbs
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Schedule: 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm(Monday - Friday)
