A bit about us:

The Billing Supervisor will manage the daily operations of the firm’s billing department, supervise billing staff, and work closely with attorneys and clients to resolve billing issues. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure that all billing processes are accurate and timely. The Billing Supervisor will also be responsible for implementing best practices to streamline the billing process and improve collection rates.

This is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing our billing operations and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
As a Billing Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the billing team to ensure accurate and timely processing of billing transactions and financial reports.
2. Developing and implementing billing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to resolve billing issues promptly.
4. Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
5. Training and mentoring billing team members, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
6. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, providing insights into billing operations and financial performance.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing new systems to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
8. Managing client relationships, responding to inquiries, and resolving any billing-related issues.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Billing Supervisor, preferably in a law firm.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of legal billing procedures and regulations.
3. Proven experience in managing a team and driving performance improvement.
4. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to analyze complex financial data and generate accurate reports.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
7. Proficiency in billing software and other financial systems.
8. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
