Within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the Research Resource program consists of a variety of programs dedicated to supporting the conduct of high-quality clinical research. The Associate Director of Clinical Research Programs will expand, direct, and assist with the clinical research programs within the CTSI and will act as a partner to assist in the development of early support and innovative, investigator-initiated local and multi-site clinical trials. This position will serve as a resource for PIs to help enrich and facilitate the progress of clinical research protocols from conception to analysis and publication of data.
Role functions will include acting as a point of contact for clinical research at the Ohio State University and being available for assistance to the study teams throughout the life cycle of the research. Will oversee planning, organization, implementation and execution of clinical research projects that leverage CTSI Clinical Research Core Programs; development of strategic operational plans/proposals for Research Resource programs of the CTSI to ensure that they are meeting the goals and objectives of the research mission of the CTSI, and The Ohio State University. In addition, this position will represent Ohio State in national consortia such as the CTSA Hub Liaison Program in association with the NIH Trial Innovation Network (TIN) and with regional consortia.

The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) was established in 2006 and is a collaboration among The Ohio State University, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital dedicated to turning the scientific discoveries of today into life-changing disease prevention strategies and the health diagnostics and treatments of tomorrow for all.
Funded by a multi-year Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health, the CTSI leverages expertise from every college across the university, including scientists and clinicians from the seven Health Science Colleges, the College of Engineering, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The CTSI also partners with community health and education agencies and regional institutional network partnerships.
The CTSA-funded institute offer expertise, resources, and partnerships at the national and local levels to improve the health of individuals and communities. The CTSA Program also nurtures translational science through education, training, and career support across the university at all levels from laboratory-based preclinical studies through clinical trials and community-based interventions.
