Main Sail is seeking an Agile Release Manager to support a critical U.S. Navy initiative aimed at improving the resilience, security, and transparency of its global supply chain. This program addresses strategic vulnerabilities by leveraging advanced technologies like digital twins, blockchain, and automation to enhance visibility and mitigate risks. As the Release Manager, you’ll lead Dev/Sec/Ops application releases, coordinating technical teams to ensure timely delivery and deployment to support the Navy's mission to safeguard national defense.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Dev/Sec/Ops release planning, scheduling, testing, and deployment.
- Coordinate technical teams (DevOps, Database, Network, Security, Applications) to ensure on-time delivery.
- Document release content, track progress, and manage risks.
- Ensure deployment aligns with schedule, budget, and stakeholder requirements.
- Maintain communication across teams and stakeholders throughout the release cycle.
- Oversee software configuration management and adherence to release management tools.
- Manage testing and production environments to ensure successful releases.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Dev/Sec/Ops Engineering developing continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
- Deep understanding of Cloud orchestration and AWS GovCloud platform best practices
- Experience with AWS GovCloud cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, EKS, ECS, KMS, IAM, RDS, Event Bridge etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code and the use of Application Release Automation tools
- Experience producing metrics and dashboards to report capacity, usage, etc.
- Experience working in a government-secured environment and understanding the security requirements (NIST, DISA)
- Experience working with production incident management tools and processes to resolve Enterprise level issues
- Experience in working with DevOps, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
- Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience deploying application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
Location: Remote
Period of Performance: 1 Year (January 2025- January 2026), with an opportunity for extensions.
